The minimum age to rent a car is 21 years old. Most car rental companies require the driver to be over 25 years of age. If the driver is between 21 and 24 years of age, you may have to pay an additional fee. Contact us to find out which companies do not charge this additional fee.
When picking up the vehicle at the rental company, it is mandatory to present a valid credit card, in the name of the reservation holder, issued by a banking institution and with a sufficient available limit for the security deposit.
ATTENTION: If the reservation holder does not have a credit card in his name, the rental company will not deliver the vehicle and the reservation will be forfeited.
The new National Driver's License that came out in March 2017 allows you to drive in the 149 countries subscribed to the Geneva Convention of 1949. However, we recommend presenting an international license for destinations where another alphabet is used, such as China or Arabia, and also in those where the driving rules are different, such as the United Kingdom or Hong Kong.
Only if you contract the "Additional Driver" option. Otherwise, the only person authorized to drive is the reservation holder.
